The United Way of West Central Illinois will open their Allocation Grant Applications in the first of March for area non-profits. Executive Director Jeannie Weber explains the grant process and for new organizations to be a part of the 211 database:

“Any non-profit or anyone that knows of a non-profit that might not be currently funded by United Way in Mercer, Henderson, Knox, or Warren Counties, please go to our Facebook page and follow the link to get signed up on 211 first because we are working on that database. Second, send an email to jeannie@wcunitedway.org and provide your contact information.”

The 211 database consists of non-profit organizations, community services, and governmental agencies that provide health and human services in the local area.
