The United Red Storm boys basketball team is just under two weeks away from the postseason and the push for conference positioning is heating up.

United is coming off a 1-2 stretch over their last three games, putting the Red Storm in a tight race in the Lincoln Trail Conference standings. United currently sits in fourth place at 5-3 in conference play, holding a half-game edge over Bureau Valley at 4-3.

The Red Storm dropped a head-to-head matchup with Bureau Valley back on January 30, giving them no margin for error down the stretch. United has three conference games remaining, while Bureau Valley has four, setting up a race that could come down to the final night.

Head Coach Jason Lancaster says the Red Storm may need some help along the way, but the focus remains on taking care of business.

United will look to protect that fourth spot tomorrow night at home when the Red Storm host second-place Galva. The Wildcats are a perfect 8-0 in conference play. Tip-off is set for 7:30.
