Buying a home doesn’t have to be daunting. Carrie Armstrong with Armstrong Real Estate LLC shares there is a new program offering down payment and closing cost assistance for eligible first-time homebuyers in Illinois:
“There is a really awesome grant out there that a lot of the local banks will offer. It is called Downpayment Plus. You can get a $10,000 grant to use toward your downpayment and closing costs. Income restrictions apply and you have to qualify, but it is a really great program.”
