Softball season is officially underway and with the season beginning a week earlier due to a prior IHSA ruling, local teams are getting their seasons started this week.
The United Red Storm opened their regular season on Monday night with a trip to Lowpoint-Washburn.
United is coming off a five-win season in their first year under Head Coach Mike Maguire, but the Red Storm are looking for big improvement this year with almost all of last season’s roster returning.
Coach Maguire shares what this year’s roster makeup looks like.
United showed off that improvement in their season opener, blasting Lowpoint-Washburn 15-4.
The Red Storm will look to build on the 1-0 start tomorrow when they host Galva at United High School.
