GALESBURG — The Sandburg women’s basketball team’s two leading scorers were voted to the All-Region 4 Division II District B team after helping the Chargers to a third consecutive 20-win season and third straight Arrowhead Conference title.

Sophomore Antonia Kisler was a first-team selection for the second straight year, and coaches voted freshman Hailey Redding to the second team after Sandburg finished the season with a 22-10 record.

A 5-foot-9 forward from Galesburg, Kisler led the Chargers with 16.7 points per contest and started all 32 games this season. She shot 36 percent from the floor, 33 percent from 3-point range and a team-best 83 percent from the free-throw line.

Kisler also averaged 8.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game. She reached the 1,000-point mark in Sandburg’s region quarterfinal win at Waubonsee and finished her Chargers career with 1,029 in 64 games (16.1 per game). Kisler dropped a career-best 33 points in Sandburg’s season opener Nov. 2 against Culver-Stockton JV.

A 5-10 forward from Abingdon-Avon High School, Redding put up 14.8 points per game in her first season at Sandburg. Redding played in all 32 games and led the Chargers with 75 made 3s on 258 attempts. She finished with a 37 percent mark from the field and shot 77 percent at the foul line.

Redding also pulled down 4.6 rebounds per game and averaged 1.2 steals per contest. Redding had nine outings of 20-plus points, with eight of them coming after Jan. 1. She scored a season-high 27 points Dec. 3 against John Wood.
