Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 8th, 2026:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is boys basketball junior Lars Bergren and senior Nick Huston. Both young men earned enough respect of TRAC West Division coaches to be placed on the All-Conference 2nd team. Lars led the Titans in scoring at 12.2 points a game. Nick led the Titans in rebounding with 7 and was 2nd on the team in assists with 3.5 per game.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is boys basketball seniors Ian Leffler and Nolan Jenks, junior Kellen Boone and sophomore Collin Leary. All four players were named to the Lincoln Trail Conference’s All-Conference Team. Ian was a first team member, with Nolan being selected to the 2nd team. Kellen and Collin were named to the Honorable Mention team.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is sophomore boys basketball player, Cesaire Bile. Cesaire was one of three Silver Streaks to be voted onto the Western Big Six Conference’s All-Conference. His 11 points, 3.5 rebounds and 34% shooting from 3-point range in conference games was more than enough to placed on the Honorable Mention list.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Lucas Andrews. Lucas joined teammates and former Athlete of the Week Award winners, Ryker Darst, Tre Kenon, Alex Foutch and Ayden Stromson on the Lincoln Trail Conference’s All-Conference Team. Lucas was selected to the Honorable Mention Team. LTC coaches noticed all the intangible things that Lucas did, night-in, night-out that helped the Tornadoes accrue the most wins in program history.
