Titans Softball Set to Open Season After Weather Delays

The high school softball season got underway last Monday for some teams, but the Monmouth-Roseville Titans are still waiting to open their season after weather delays kept them off the field.

That should finally change this week, as temperatures begin to rise and fields start to dry out.

Head Coach Jarod Hippen says his squad is more than ready to get things going.

When the Titans do get started, they won’t ease into it. Monmouth-Roseville is slated for five games over the next week.

The Titans are scheduled to open their season tonight on the road at Galva, weather permitting.

They’ll follow that up with another road trip to Galesburg on Friday, before a busy stretch next week with three straight games at Abingdon-Avon, Hamilton-Warsaw, and Princeville.
