The Prairie Players Civic Theatre will be holding auditions for the upcoming production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Board Member Cheri Siebken shares there are multiple roles to audition for:
“We encourage anyone and everyone to come out and audition for that. For auditions, it is a musical, so we ask that you prepare a song that kind of shows your vocal range. There will also be cold readings from the script and some kind of basic movement exercises, dance might be a little too lofty. We want to see that you can move,” says Siebken.
“For Cinderella, there is about a dozen lead characters, but then there is also the chorus, who has multiple parts as villagers, as people at the ball. A lot of opportunities. That is adults, as well as children, fifth grade and older can come out and audition,” Seibken adds.
Auditions for Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella at the Prairie Players Civic Theatre, 160 South Seminary in Galesburg, will be Friday, May 15th at 6 pm and Saturday, May 16th at 1 pm. Callbacks will take place Sunday, May 17th at 2 pm.
