Pam Gaither, Executive Director with the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce is preparing her office for their local elected officials panel discussion coming up in May. Gaither has the details:

“We have our local elected official luncheon coming up on Tuesday May 12, and that is coming right up around the corner here. And typically, we invite our local elected officials. So, the mayor of city of Galesburg, the superintendent of schools, the chair of the Knox County Board, Sandburg Board of Trustees, President, and then the Galesburg 205 school board president. So, some of those, a couple of those, are kind of pending, you know, their renewal period, so we’ll have more confirmed information soon on who all will be there on our panel, but it is open for the public, so anyone can attend that. And it’s really a great opportunity to ask questions. Sometimes you don’t get time to ask those questions, and we like to host this event, and then the one in the fall for the state legislators as well.”

The event will be held on May 12th at the Galesburg Public Library from 11 am – 1 pm.
