Are you tired of paying rent and thinking about buying a home? If so, attend the Real Cost of Homeownership workshop, presented by Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northern Illinois, to be held Tuesday, April 21 at 5:00 p.m. or Wednesday, April 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Jamieson Community Center. There is no cost to attend but registration is required.
Workshop attendance is the first step in qualifying to purchase a home through the joint partnership with JCC and Pattee Foundation. The program is designed to expand access to affordable homeownership opportunities in the community. Newly renovated homes will be offered at affordable pricing, with estimated monthly mortgage payments around $1,000.
