Mr. Timothy “Tim” A. Greene, 62, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 2:22 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.

He was born January 18, 1964, in Galesburg, the son of Robert “Bob” N. and Sara A. (Hamilton) Greene. He married Susan Ingle on May 3, 1986, in Knoxville. He later married Brenda Lovdahl on April 29, 1991.

Surviving are his children, Christopher (and Eryn) Greene of Elmwood, Illinois, and Megan Greene of Galesburg; one brother, Bryan Greene of Knoxville, Illinois; one granddaughter, Elliana Greene; along with a niece, a nephew, several cousins, and his beloved four-legged son, King.

He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Bob and Mary Greene; his mother and stepfather, Sara and Jack Siedel; and one brother, Jeff Greene.

Tim graduated from Knoxville High School in 1982. He was employed with D & B Distributors and Waste Management. He later worked for Heat and Control in Galesburg for several years and played slow pitch softball for their sponsored team. Tim was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He also enjoyed listening to music, fishing, camping, four-wheeling, and playing cards, especially Pitch, with his family and friends. He especially cherished the time he spent with friends at Cactus Country.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, Galesburg Chapel. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at Cactus Country, 3075 W. Main St., Galesburg. Cremation will follow the visitation.

Memorials may be made to the family. In addition to the visitation, a benefit in Tim’s honor will be held at 3:00 p.m. on June 13, 2026, at Cactus Country. Online condolences may be shared at www.h-p-w.com.
