The Buchanan Community Chorus is celebrating 250 years of America during this weekend’s performances, exclaims Performer Joy Boostrom:

“This concert we are singing music from different eras, celebrating America’s 250th birthday. We have music anywhere from the Civil War, the Revolutionary War, World War 1; just lots of good patriotic things. We have thirteen choir selections and one of those features our women and one of those features our men. We have six ensembles that we will be sharing. We have a choir chime group. We have a brass duet. We have a group of women that are singing. We have a quartet and the American Legion Honor Guard is joining us for a selection.”

Performances by the Buchanan Community Chorus are Friday, May 1st at 7 pm at Faith United Presbyterian Church in Monmouth and Saturday, May 2nd at 2 pm at the First United Methodist Church also in Monmouth.
