Story by Parker Cassidy

The United Red Storm baseball team keeps rolling, as United has now won 10 straight games and improved to 26-5-2 on the season.

The Red Storm opened last week’s stretch with a 13-1 LTC crossover win over Princeville last Friday, before adding an 11-0 win over Midwest Central on Saturday. United then started this week with a 13-7 win over Rushville-Industry on Tuesday, before taking down Brimfield-Elmwood yesterday, who entered the matchup at 27-4.

United grabbed the 7-3 win behind a strong outing from Aiden Martin, who went six innings, allowing five hits and two runs.

Head Coach Ryan Molek says it was a confidence-building win, but the Red Storm cannot be satisfied.

United has one regular season game left Saturday on the road against another top area team in Orion.

Then it’s regional time, as the Red Storm received a first-round bye and will host the winner of Knoxville and Bushnell-Prairie City on Wednesday.
