Dale D. Little, 85, of Avon, Illinois, passed away at 6:29 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the Allure of Lake Storey in Galesburg, Illinois. He was born March 1, 1941 in Peoria, IL the son of Roy and Onieta (Billmeyer) Little. He was raised in Dahinda, IL and graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1959.

Dale served in the United States Army from 1966 – 1968.

He married Carol A. (Steach) Parker in 1995, and she preceded him in death on January 8, 2025.

Those left to cherish his memory are daughters; Laura Little and Nancy (Chad Novak) Little; stepdaughters, Lori (Jack) Braten, Stacie J. (Clint) Courson; stepson, James Parker; grandchildren, Amanda (Justin) Powell, Travis (Ashley) Bricker, Thomas Clay Bricker, Kolton (Liz Verville) Johnson, Cabe Courson, Caleb (Hillary) Parker, Mason (Jacqueline Munter) Parker; 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother LeRoy Little,sister Valerie Pecoy and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dale worked at Gates Rubber Co., Galesburg Sheet Metal Works and Thomas Plumbing and Heating. His favorite job was with Booth Trucking as an over-the-road driver where he was able to travel all over the country. He enjoyed duck hunting in his younger years, mushrooming and working on his tractors. He also loved seeing and spending time with all of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as the granddogs. Dale was a member of the American Legion #381.

Cremation rites have been accorded with a graveside service in the Babbitt Cemetery, St. Augustine, Illinois, to be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2026. A Celebration of Dale’s life will be held at the Abingdon American Legion following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Fulton County Humane Society or Knox County Humane Society and left in the care of the funeral home. Moore Memorial Home, Avon, is handling the arrangements.
