In response to the growing demand for infant and toddler care services in Warren County, Jamieson Community Center is reconfiguring the interior layout of their Monmouth Community Childcare Center. Executive Director Nancy Mowen says the plan was developed alongside Childcare Director Anna Brody:
“Anna and I have been strategizing and thinking of ways that we can expand within the space that we have to accommodate more children. In school age, there has not been a big demand for that, so we are taking the room that we were going to use for school-aged students and we will combine some classrooms in that room so that we can open up another room,” reports Mowen.
“With this expansion, we will add a whole other infant room with space for eight babies, five toddlers, and we will add eight two-year olds. In addition to the school aged kids that we have,” Mowen adds.
The Monmouth Community Childcare Center will celebrate their one-year anniversary June 16th.
