Ms. Jane A. Huff, 71, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away at 4:06 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois.

She was born June 8, 1954, in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Frank William and Evelyn Jane (Harshbarger) Gould. She married Lewis R. Huff in 1982.

Surviving are her mother, Evelyn Gould of Galesburg; one son, L. Duane (and Milenka) Huff of Fairfax, Virginia; one daughter, Jessica (and Jerrod) Sammons of Galesburg; two stepdaughters, Angie (and Jeff) Peterson and Cindy (and John) Fedler both of Oquawka, Illinois; one brother, Bill Gould of Peoria, Illinois; six grandchildren, Makayla, Ryker, Abigail, Hannah, Eliana, and Berenice, nieces and nephews and her four legged child, Skittles. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Gould; and one sister-in-law, Tani Gould.

Jane graduated from Galesburg High School in 1972. She began her career as a purchasing agent for Maytag Manufacturing Company, where she worked from 1974 until the factory closed in 2004. She later worked as a purchasing agent for Heat and Control from 2006 until her retirement in 2019.

In her younger years, Jane enjoyed bowling and participated in several leagues throughout Galesburg. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She loved attending their sporting events and cheering them on. After retirement, she volunteered selflessly at the Fish Food Pantry in Galesburg.  Jane cherished the time she spent with her family and created many treasured memories with those she loved most.

As Jane requested, cremation will be accorded. A private graveside service will be held at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.  A Celebration of Life will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2026, at The Carriage House, 83 S. Seminary St., Galesburg, Illinois.  Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.h-p-w.com.
