MDH Offering Provider-Led Wound Care Services

Share

McDonough District Hospital in Macomb is now offering provider-led wound care and lymphedema services.

Family Nurse Practitioner Brittany Taylor shares more.

“We do all kinds of wounds. If you’ve got a wound from a cut to a surgical wound that’s opened up or just not healing, skin cancer wounds, diabetic wounds, venous ulcer wounds, burns, puncture wounds, whatever, we take care of those. Typically we see patients a couple times a week, unless they can do their own dressing changes.”

Taylor says patients do not need a referral from their primary care provider to use the wound clinic or lymphedema services.
