With the storm hitting Monmouth last week without much warning, Monmouth Fire Chief Casey Rexroat says local responders will be looking back at the response and talking through what worked, along with what can be improved moving forward.
“I’ve already had several people from agencies in the community reach out and say, ‘Hey, are we going to meet and talk about this and see what we can improve on?’ And I’m telling them 100 percent, here in a couple weeks when things are all calmed down and everything is under control, we’ll get together and talk about the incident and see what we can improve on. We’re really looking forward to that.”
Chief Rexroat says the goal is to use the storm as a learning experience and be better prepared the next time severe weather hits.
