Every dollar makes a difference, and just by one single donation you could be a part of something great. In a little over a month, Relay for Life will be hosting an event, located at Alfano’s Pizza, August 10th at 6pm. Dina Chick explains more about the event and provides many resources you can use to register, sign up, donate, or for any questions.
“It will be August, the 10th, at Alfano’s Pizza here in Monmouth. The doors will open at 6pm. Please visit our Relay for Life website at www.relayforlife.org/whil and to get your team registered and to get signed up, we encourage everyone to visit the website and our Facebook page, Relay for Life Warren-Henderson IL, often, and for the folks that don’t have access to a computer may call the American Cancer Society at 1(800)-227-2345, and choosing option 4 to get registered. You can make a difference by raising awareness and fundraising for us because together we are stronger than cancer. We’re always looking for volunteers for the events.”
“We remember and honor our loved ones who have lost their battle, and honor those who are still battling, and we celebrate those who are survivors by dedicating a lighted Luminaria bag at the event.”
This is a great event to help support, remember, and honor those who have lost their battle, those who are still battling, and celebrate those who are survivors. Luminaria is an important part of the event, so if you would like to purchase one you can go to www.relayforlife.org/whil or visit Payton Brentise at CBI Bank & Trust at 2 AmericInn Way, in Monmouth, or by stopping at Midwest Bank locations in Monmouth or Oquawka. Contact Stacey Dutton, the Senior Development Manager at (309)-214-9012 or stacey.dutton@cancer.org, for any questions.
