If you love artwork and are looking for a new activity to enjoy, the Buchanan Center for the Arts is hosting several upcoming events, this summer. Rebecca Quick talks more about what these events entail.
“There are several other classes happening, so June 20th from 12-2pm there will be a collage class with Christel Thompson at Market Alley Wines. This class will be $20 for non-members and $10 for members, and you can just come down, make some collage artwork and hangout with Sarah, drink a glass of wine. There will be snacks as well while you’re there.”
“June 23rd speaking of patriotic items, we have Patriotic at Patton Red, White and Brew. Learn about the Japanese quilting technique, kinusaiga, as participants bring their work to life and display on the wall at the “Bricks Exhibition.” Patton Block Is asking if participants who take this class, keep their work on display in their building. As you walk in, you turn around the corner, they have their little display of artwork there, that’s where they want to keep it throughout the 4th of July season.”
