The Warren County Falcons were delighted to discuss a new direction for their Special Olympics team out of the Local YMCA. Newly retired Director, and past citizen of the year Tom Glenn shared with us the new additions to their team.

The new Director of Fundraising and Program Development Ryan Brennan, a Monmouth College Graduate and former Track and Field athlete finds himself back in our Community to join the Warren County Falcons

“I went to college here in Monmouth, But I moved away lived in a couple other states for the last 10 years, But when I came home I was looking for a job, I’m not from Monmouth but I always liked my time here. So it seemed like a good place and I’ve always loved the Falcons and I found myself landing in a great place”

The other addition, Teri Parks comes in as the new Sports Director, with an emphasis on the support system for their athletes. With an athlete in her family and a long time assisting with coaching and volunteering finding the opportunity to move to that next level is an opportunity she is very grateful to serve in.

“So I’ve been involved in Special Olympics for 16 years as a parent/volunteer/coach. I have an Athlete in our family, But honestly I have about 80 children through our athletes that I just absolutely adore”

If you would like to support their cause, coming up for the Warren County Falcons is their Pub Crawl on June 20th from Oquawka to Monmouth, and then later this year is their Hometown Hoedown.
