Mr. Keith E. Stodden, 66, of Knoxville, Illinois, died at 5:27 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2026, peacefully at his home.
He was born on March 8, 1960, in Effingham, Illinois, to James and Connie J. (Steele) Stodden. He married Leesa Johnson on June 16, 2001, in Abingdon, Illinois.
Surviving are his wife, Leesa Stodden of Knoxville; two brothers, Rick Stodden of Effingham Illinois and Ron (Diane) Stodden of Vero Beach, Florida; and a sister, Aileen (Greg) Bonham of Decatur, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Gina M. Pullam, and sister-in-law, Jacquelyn Jo “Jacque” Stodden.
Keith graduated from Effingham High School in 1978. He proudly served in the United States Army for three years and was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky, as well as in Louisiana and Texas. Following his military service, he worked as an over-the-road truck driver for Ingersoll Trucking Company in Effingham and later in Florida. He then continued his education at Carl Sandburg College, where he earned a degree. Keith went on to work in technical support for Ameren and Mediacom. He and Leesa attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Abingdon. Keith was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle whenever he had the opportunity.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, Galesburg Chapel. Pastor Melinda Bern will officiate. Military honors will follow the service at the chapel. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.
