Junior high softball season gets underway next week, and the Monmouth-Roseville Titans are preparing for year three of the program.
The Titans finished 3-6 last season, but numbers are way up this year. They have also added former Monmouth-Roseville and Monmouth College standout Karleigh Ashby to the coaching staff, shares Assistant Coach Sarah Hippen.
“We have 27 girls out between seventh and eighth grade, so we will have an A and B team. We have girls who have never touched a softball in their life, and we have girls who have played travel softball since they were eight. So far, it’s going great. I do want to give a shout-out to Karleigh Ashby. She is a volunteer coach for us this year for junior high and high school. She just finished her career at Monmouth College and had an amazing year. It’s going wonderful.”
The Titans will open their 2026 season Wednesday at 4:30 PM against first-year program Carthage at Eldridge Park in Roseville.
