Mrs. Nadine Elizabeth Taylor, 94, of Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 15, 1932, in Wellsville, Missouri, the daughter of Jewel and Lena Mae (Thomas) Steele. She married Paul E. Taylor on September 16, 1951, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1986.

Surviving are one son, Kevin (Terrie) Taylor of Cedar Rapids Iowa, two daughters, Janice (Tommie) Quinn of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Kendra (Adrian) Duckworth of Indianapolis, Indiana; a brother, Robert (Dorothy) Steele of Rock Island Illinois; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and five siblings; Bessie Shocks, Charles Steele, Willetta Lovett, Lena Brooks, and Glorine Galbreath.

Nadine graduated from Garfield High School in Mexico, Missouri, in 1950. She worked as a health care caregiver and, most importantly, was a devoted homemaker. She was a faithful and active member of Israel of God’s Church in Galesburg for over 70 years; where her faith was an important part of her life. Nadine cherished spending time with her family and especially enjoyed making memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Israel of God’s Church in Galesburg. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Reverend William Green officiating.  Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
