It may be summer, but the buildings in the United School District remain just as busy with all the projects and upgrades taking place, according to Superintendent Tom Hawkins:
“We have playground projects at both the Intermediate School and also the North campus. We have our High School building that had a major painting project done in it, brightening up the hallways of United Junior/Senior High School, that has been great. We are also changing out the lighting, but we are getting the color scheme to be uniform and that is something that hasn’t been done out there for a while. That was an initiative of our teachers, they wanted the kids to feel proud about the hallways they walk in.”
