Wednesday afternoon at the McDonough County Fair kicked off 4-H activities with the 4-H goat show. 

Results of the Breeding Goats Show

In the Buck Show, Blakely Thompson exhibited the first-place meat buck. 

Maroska Trennepohl and Nora Hoge- McDonough County Fair 2026

0-3 Months: 1. Haley Daugherty; 2.  Max Daugherty; 3. Kenadie Webster; 4. Natalie LeMaster

3-6 Months:  1. Maroska Trennepohl; 2. Max Daugherty; 3. Blakley Thompson

6 – 12 Month: 1. Maroska Trennepohl; 2. Nora Hoge

12- 18 Month: 1. Haley Daugherty 2.  Haley Daugherty; 3. Kenadie Webster 

18-24 Month: 1. Natalie LeMaster 

24 Months and Over: 1. Haley Daugherty; 2. Ben Steward

Grand Champion 4-H Doe was awarded to Maroska Trennepohl with Reserve Grand Champion went to Nora Hoge. Both does were from the 6-12 month old class.

Nolan Hoge- McDonough County Fair 2026

 In the wether show, there were five classes. 

Class 1: 1. Avery Butler; 2. Max Daughrty

Class 2: 1. Nash Lowderman; 2. Tuck Lowderman; 3. Kenadie Webster

Class 3:  1. Nolan Hoge; 2. Drew Creasey

Class 4: 1. Haley Daugherty 

Class 5: 1. Blakely Thompson 

Grand Champion 4-H Wether was awarded to Nolan Hoge;  with Reserve Grand Champion went to Drew Creasey. Both goats were from Class 3.
