Taste of Galesburg is celebrating 40 years, with this year’s event coming up Thursday, July 16th from 4 to 10 PM in Downtown Galesburg.
Madison Hieser, Community Outreach Coordinator for United Way of West Central Illinois, shares more.
“The 40th annual Taste of Galesburg is happening on July 16th, which is a Thursday, and it’s from 4 to 10 PM. United Way this year has been asked to help sell raffle tickets because we are the recipient of this year’s raffle, and we’re planning to pass on every single dollar raised to River Bend Food Bank, who is one of the nonprofits that we support through grants that they apply for. We thought, what better way to celebrate a food event than to go ahead and pass on this money to help feed local families. You can purchase a raffle ticket for $5 at the event or online. We have a QR code through our Facebook page.”

Taste of Galesburg will also feature food from over 20 area restaurants, music on three stages, free children’s activities, and the raffle.
