According to Monmouth City Administrator Lou Leone, the East Side TIF District continues to move forward and is expected to become the future site of additional housing:

“We are looking at potentially 80 foot wide lots and about 100 foot deep, three bedroom house, two bathrooms, with an attached garage are the requirements we are putting in. We are looking at potentially 31 to 39 parcels,” says Leone.

“As far as expansion when it comes to residential, the more houses that we bring in, the tax burden gets spread out over a larger group of people and that eventually does help out,” Leone adds.

The next Monmouth City Council meeting will be held tonight, Monday, August 17th beginning with a Public Hearing at 5:45 pm inside City Hall and the Council Meeting to follow at 6 pm.
