Illinois men’s basketball forward David Mirkovic is recovering after undergoing surgery. The sophomore went under the knife yesterday after suffering a left foot injury during a team practice last month. He’s expected to make a full recovery, however a timeline for his return to action wasn’t released. The Montenegro native averaged 13.3 points and eight rebounds as a freshman last season.
