The Monmouth-Roseville Titans volleyball squad is preparing for year two under Head Coach Kristin Mynatt.
The Titans finished 11-26 last season but picked up a postseason win over Peoria Manual in the regional quarterfinals before falling to Eureka in the semifinals.
With another year under their belt, Mynatt says the Titans stayed busy this summer.
“We actually started off at the United scrimmage. Thank you to Courtney Milroy for putting that on for us. We didn’t win very much in that tournament, but we tried a lot of different rotations. We ended up playing United and lost to them. We also played Mercer County. They will be pretty solid this year. They were young last year, and they have a very solid right side. That’s a conference matchup, so that will be an exciting one to play. We also went to the Spirit volleyball tournament. Shout-out to them as well. That was an awesome tournament. We went 3-0 in pool play and then played Macomb in bracket play. They’re always solid, of course, and we ended up losing to them. I was very thrilled with what I saw and the good things that are coming after watching that tournament.”
The Titans will open their season Monday, August 24th at the Shoebox against Ridgewood.
