The Monmouth-Roseville and United volleyball programs will come together tonight for a matchup that means a little more than what happens on the court.

The Titans will host the Red Storm for the fourth annual Volley for a Cure, with both programs teaming up to raise money in the fight against breast cancer.

The night will feature a 50/50 raffle and several donated baskets and items that fans can enter to win, with proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Survivors and others connected to both volleyball programs who have been impacted by breast cancer will also be recognized throughout the night.

Monmouth-Roseville Athletic Director Jeremy Adolphson shares how fans can help support the cause.

“So basically, the baskets are donated items or collections of items, and then you buy raffle tickets and you put your tickets in there, and then they draw tickets for each one for a winner. You can definitely help support that way. I’m sure they would take regular donations as well, but all the proceeds are able to obviously give it to people who need it. They recognize survivors, recognize people that are connected with both volleyball programs, the coaches, the players. So it’s a very cool night.”

Volley for a Cure will take place tonight inside the Shoebox at Monmouth-Roseville High School.

Tonight will also mark a first for Prairieland Media Sports, as we will have our first-ever volleyball broadcast with Monmouth-Roseville taking on United on WRAM AM 1330, FM 95.7 and online at radiomonmouth.com. The pregame show will hit the air at 6:30, with the match scheduled to start at 7 PM.
