Make it a three-peat for the Sandburg men’s soccer team.
The Chargers, after finishing their Arrowhead Conference schedule with a 2-0-1 record, officially shared the conference title with Kishwaukee.
Sandburg concluded its conference slate with a 1-1 draw on the road Saturday against the Kougars. Kishwaukee then beat Illinois Valley 6-3 on Wednesday in its final conference match to finish as co-champion. Both teams ended with the same record and a plus-five goal differential.
It’s the third straight conference title for Sandburg and the Chargers’ fourth crown in the six years the conference has awarded a championship in men’s soccer (2021, 2024, 2025, 2026).
Sandburg stands at 5-7-2 overall this season, but Chargers have gone 3-0-1 in their last four contests, outscoring opponents 11-2 during that stretch. Sandburg finishes the regular season at 6 p.m. Saturday against Triton at Kleine Field.
