Rehearsals are underway with the Buchanan Community Chorus for their December holiday concerts. Assistant Director Joy Boostrom reports the chorus is well represented by members across the local area:
“We have singers that come from all over. We have Mercer County represented, Knox County, Warren County, and sometimes Henderson County. We do have a wide range of people that come, anywhere between 25 and 35 people. We have wonderful leadership in Carolyn Kellert and Linda Burnett is our accompanist, we could not do it without her. We have a Board of Directors that are very busy during the season just helping with different things.”
The Buchanan Community Chorus will perform on Friday, December 4th at the Faith United Presbyterian Church at 7 pm and Saturday, December 5th at the First United Methodist Church at 2 pm, both in Monmouth.
