The Dairy Barn in Monmouth is under new local ownership, with a menu offering a variety of favorites and new items, shares Owner Patrick Harlan:
“What you are going to see is a whole list of different types of toppings that you can pick. You will start with what size do you want and then what base, either chocolate or vanilla base that is our signature ten percent butterfat ice cream. We also have Dole. We can turn that base into any flavor that you want. Our ice cream has 13 grams of protein, just in the ice cream alone. If you want to throw in a scoop of extra protein with it, I can get you up to about 56 grams of protein,” says Harlan.
“Once you look at your toppings, you name the candy, we can make it, you name the syrup, we have it, and you name the fruit, it is in there. You can have a milkshake, a malt, or an avalanche. We also have banana splits, Monster energy drinks, protein smoothies, or regular smoothies,” Harlan adds.
The Dairy Barn, located at 501 North Main Street in Monmouth, is open 6 am to 10 am and from 4 pm to 9 pm Mondays through Fridays and then 6 am to 9 pm on the weekends.
