At the September West Central Board of Education meeting, the final budget was presented and passed. According to Superintendent Eric Lawson, there are areas in deficit spending:

“We presented the final budget, which our Board did approve. We are deficit spending in some major areas, transportation, the Education Fund, and Operations and Maintenance Fund. We are going to put together an action plan to do whatever we need to do to come up with some great ideas to reduce that deficit.”

Additionally, Superintendent Lawson reports the Board of Education has constructed a plan regarding the use of artificial intelligence to provide a framework guide for teachers and students.
