As farmers across the region push to bring in this year’s harvest, McDonough District Hospital is showing their appreciation one meal at a time, reports Interim Chief Executive Officer Wanda Foster:
“With our MDH Foundation, we are going to be doing our annual Harvest Meals. That is when our Foundation group branches out over two days, get our lunches from the Annex Catering in LaHarpe, and we take lunch to the farmers. We deliver about 200 meals. It is fun to see them and thank them for their contribution for agriculture in West Central Illinois.”
Meanwhile, McDonough District Hospital will receive a $4 million grant through the Health Resources and Services Administration over the next four years to improve infant and maternal health in the region.
