State Senate Passes Bill Requiring Insurance Company To Cover Cancer Screenings

State lawmakers are pushing a bill that would require insurance companies in Illinois to cover preventative cancer screenings and genetic testing for people with a family history of cancer. The state Senate approved the measure yesterday, sending it to the House. Currently, screenings for certain types of cancer are covered by insurance if patients meet the age requirement.
