Two Arrested and Charged with Mob Action and Aggravated Battery

**UPDATE**

States Attorney filed a petition to detain. The motion was denied by Judge. Both parties were released with a future court date.


On Tuesday, April 16th, 2024, Knox County Deputies were dispatched to a fight in progress involving two subjects using a bat and a golf club. Deputies were given information while en route that some of the individuals departed in a vehicle.

Deputies arrived on scene and located a male victim with visible trauma to his face, and a female victim with a laceration to her shin.

The female victim was treated and released on scene by Knoxville First Responders.  The male victim was treated on scene by First Responders then transported by GHAS ambulance to St. Mary’s Medical Center Emergency Room to be evaluated for his injuries.

Deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop where two male subjects were located inside of the vehicle. The driver had a visible laceration to his cheek. The driver informed the Deputies he had been in a physical altercation.

Cade Nuss (W/M 22yo) and James Nuss (W/M 24yo) were taken into custody and booked at the Knox County Jail and charged with the following:

Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon

Aggravated Battery

Mob Action

All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
