Beverly Ann Franklin

Beverly Ann Franklin, age 73, of Stronghurst, Illinois, passed away at 6:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2024 at Roseville Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Roseville, Illinois.  She was born October 21, 1950 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Patricia Waddle Scott. On September 7, 1984, she  married  Gary Wayne Franklin.  He preceded her in death on August 9, 2019.

Beverly worked as a certified nurse’s aide at Humility Of Mary Housing, Inc. in Davenport, Iowa for several years.  She lived in the Burlington, Iowa area for most of her adult life, moving to Stronghurst three years ago, and then to Roseville in January of this year.  

She loved to dance, especially line dancing, and had won several dance competitions.  She enjoyed playing bingo, country music, loved her doggies and cat, and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter:  Deborah Beam of Stronghurst, two sons: David Gramling-Beam of Geneseo, IL, Jason (Heather Bowers) Beam of Cambridge, IL, eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two brothers: Terry (Patty) Scott of Moline, IL, and Kevin (Sue) Scott of Cambridge, IL.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Mike and Steve Scott, and one sister in infancy.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A family Celebration Of Life will be held at a later date.  A memorial fund has been established for Family Outreach Community Center in Stronghurst.  Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Stronghurst is assisting the family.  Please visit Beverly’s obituary at banksandbeals.com to leave a condolence.
