Story by Parker Cassidy

The West Central Heat Boys’ Basketball team has wrapped up its slate of summer games and is now turning its attention to strength training and skill development. For the remainder of the summer, the team will focus on weight lifting sessions and open gyms as they continue building momentum heading into the upcoming season. But that’s not all happening on the court this summer. The Heat will also host their annual youth basketball camp for students in grades 3 through 8. The camp is set to take place in July and aims to help young athletes improve their fundamentals and foster a love for the game. Head Coach Doug Dennison shares more details about the upcoming camp and what participants can expect.

More details for the camps will be posted soon on the West Central Athletics Facebook Page. For the full interview with Coach Dennison, go to the SPORTS PODCAST section of our website radiomonmouth.com.
