Stone-Hayes Marks 35 Years of the ADA with an Open House

Stone-Hayes Center is a cornerstone of Galesburg’s support network, providing resources, advocacy, equipment, and a community-driven approach to help individuals lead more independent lives. The center will host a special Open House on July 31st from 3 to 6 PM, celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Sarah Nelson, Community Reintegration Coordinator, shares more about the event.

“From 3 to 6, we’re having an open house with some presentations. It’s how to be your own best advocate. We have free t-shirts to the first 20 people that come in. We have a raffle basket, we also are doing an ice cream social, so if you like some ice cream. Stone-Hayes is the place to be on Thursday, July 31.”

A personal testimonial from a Stone-Hayes consumer will begin at 5:15 PM. The center is located at 39 N. Prairie Street in Galesburg.
