Kids Rock the Arts Contest is in its seventh year of showcasing local youth artists. Jurist Zoe Rose earned her BFA in Studio Art with a minor in Graphic Design from Knox College, where she also completed a post-baccalaureate program while serving as the Art Department’s Executive Exhibit Coordinator. Since then, she’s been the Education Coordinator and Exhibitions Coordinator/Registrar at the Galesburg Community Arts Center, bringing meaningful art opportunities and experiences to people of all ages. An artist herself, Zoë works primarily in sculpture, mixed-media, and installation art, and is also a jazz, blues, and neo-soul vocalist. “I am thrilled to act as the juror for the 2025 Kids Rock the Arts exhibition at the beautiful Walnut Grove Farm! This collaboration of local art entities encourages emerging artists. “Art is strong in our community, and we love to see what young people create. With the encouragement from teachers and families, Blick and the Community Art Center; kids are given wings to discover their talents,” states Jan King of Walnut Grove Farm.
