**UPDATED**
On Thursday, August 28, 2025, at approximately 4:00 PM, Galesburg Police Officers located two suspects believed to be involved with the shooting that occurred in the 1100 block of E. Berrien Street. The two suspects were located at a residence in the 300 block of W. Brooks Street.
Marques McClendon, 19 years old, was located at the residence. McClendon was subsequently arrested and charged with: Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm. Marques McClendon remains in custody at the Knox County Jail.
Darius Holloway, 18 years old, was also located at the residence. Holloway was subsequently arrested and charged with: Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm. Darius Holloway remains in custody at the Knox County Jail.

On Thursday, 8/28/2025, at approximately 2:24 PM, the Galesburg Police Department responded to the 300 block of Lombard Street in reference to shots being fired.
A short time later, a gunshot victim arrived at OSF St. Mary Hospital in Galesburg with a gunshot wound. At this time, it appears the victim was shot in the 1100 block of E. Berrien Street. The victim was subsequently transported to OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria to be treated for the non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
This investigation is ongoing, and at this time, the names are not being released. This appears to be an isolated incident, and there are no identifiable threats to the general public.
