United Red Storm Girls Basketball Begin Long Holiday Break

Share

The United Red Storm girls basketball team had a busy week on the hardwood with three games over a five-day stretch. United opened the week last Tuesday with a low-scoring battle against Barry Western, narrowly falling 29-23. The Red Storm bounced back Thursday night at home, picking up a 40-29 win over West Central. Then United wrapped up the week with a road trip to Orion, where the Chargers proved too much in a 56-36 loss.

Head Coach Chris Olson says with such a young roster, the focus is not always on the scoreboard but on meeting in-game goals, and he felt his team accomplished one of those despite the loss at Orion.

The Red Storm head into the Christmas break with a 3-7 record and will return to action January 5 when they host North Fulton.
