The annual West Central FFA Alumni Truck and Tractor pull will be held at 8th Street and Knox in Oquawka. IFPA, TSPA, and UPA Pulls. 16 truck and tractor classes. Concessions open at 4 pm. Pull will begin at 5 pm. Free admission. Proceeds benefit the West Central FFA Alumni.

Join on Saturday and support local St. Jude runners that will be participating in the St. Jude Run from Galesburg to Peoria! Guest bartenders will be Josie Lair, Erin Olson, Michelle Murphy, Lora Newton, Sarah Wilson, Becky Hutton & Michelle Thomas.

All are invited to attend the Car Show in Smithshire. Registration is open 9 am to noon with awards presented at 3 pm. Goodie bags and dash plaques available for the first 50 entrants. Cost is $15, rain or shine. All proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

Get ready to celebrate the diversity in our community, à day of gratitude, enjoyment. Enjoy African food and drink at farmers market parking lot from starting 2pm and then celebrating with gospel music at the Orpheum with international singer Dena Mwana featuring pipi and Daniel music. Tickets on sale at the Orpheum.

Taking place July 8th through 10th, 9 to 11 am for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and then 1 to 3 pm for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders with Kellen Fernetti and Ryan Twaddle. Cost is $30 and $25 for each additional camper. Registration deadline is July 3rd.

The annual breakfast will be held at the Monmouth Municipal Airport for a free will donation. Serving pancakes and sausage. The Monmouth Municipal Band will be playing at 8:30 am. Parking will be available in the former Shopko Parking Lot with a tram service to the Hanger.

A food vendor will be set up in the Citizen's Lake Recreation Area next to the campground serving pulled pork, pork chops, loaded mac n cheese, brats, hot dogs, chips, and drinks from 11:30 am to 9:30 pm. Then stick around for fireworks at dusk!

Sports physical day at the MDH Monmouth Clinic is Thursday, July 11th from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. or 1-5 p.m. Cost is $10 and payable by cash or check. Walk-in appointments only for the sports physicals. Students should print off the IHSA sports physical form from your respective school's website or the IHSA website.

Strom Center will host their Annual Ice Cream Social from 5 to 7 pm. The Monmouth Municipal Band will begin playing at 7 pm. Tickets for the event ate $3.50 for adults and $2.50 for children 12 and under.
