Utility Services Assistance Available Locally Through the Knox County Health Department

Share

Utility services assistance is available with the Knox County Health Department through their Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), says Director of Wellness Erin Olson:

“LIHEAP is the energy assistance program that not only serves Ameren customers, but we also serve West Central FS if you have propane, Spoon River Electric if they are your electric company, to McDonough Power, to Amerigas, so it is not just Ameren customers. If you are a propane customer, make sure you contact your area. The program gives people assistance towards their gas and their electric bills. It is income based.”

LIHEAP services are available through the end of May. Eligibility guidelines can be found at http://knoxcountyhealth.org.
