The United Red Storm boys varsity basketball team wrapped up play in the Lincoln Trail Conference tournament over the weekend. After going 1-1 in pool play with a win over Princeville and loss to Knoxville, the Red Storm would be matched up with Abingdon-Avon on Friday, falling to the Tornadoes 51-44. The loss placed the team in the 7th place game against Wethersfield, a game they would drop 63-53. United finishes the LTC tournament 1-3 overall and in 8th place.
After several close losses for the Red Storm boys, United head coach Doug Dennison says the team is close to putting the pieces together, and building momentum for the regional tournament starting on February 18th.
