Division 1 Rejects “Small School Saturday” Coming to Monmouth for Scots-Wartburg Matchup

Monmouth College football will have a little extra spotlight this weekend as Small School Saturday makes its way to campus for the Scots matchup with Wartburg.

The show, put on by Division 1 Rejects, travels around the country highlighting small-school football programs and bringing a College GameDay-type atmosphere to campus.

Host Kobe Manzo says the show is about more than just the game itself.

“We are trying to bring a great energy and a great atmosphere that is only going to add to what will already be a great game. We’ll have some big speakers set up so people can hear us and engage with us. We’ve got a TV behind us so they can see themselves on the live stream. Show up, be loud. We love it when people bring signs. We love it when people bring great energy and passion, because at the end of the day, when somebody tunes in from across the country, I want them to leave thinking, ‘Man, Monmouth is awesome. These guys play hard, and I’m now a fan of this college and this football team.’”

Small School Saturday will begin their 2.5-hour live pregame show at 4 PM behind the press box at April Zorn Memorial Stadium. The show will be free to watch online at Division 1 Rejects on YouTube, while Monmouth and Wartburg will kick things off at 7 PM Saturday.
