Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity Walks Away Victorious Over Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes in High-Scoring Game, 15-8


Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity bested Abingdon/Avon Varsity Tornadoes in a high-scoring affair, 15-8.

Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity got things started in the first inning. C.J. Johnson grounded out, scoring one run.

Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity scored seven runs in the fifth inning. Nico Avendano, Tyler Jones, Ayden Holcomb, Justin Brooks, and Zac Almaguer powered the big inning with RBIs.

Avendano was credited with the victory for Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity. Avendano went four innings, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out eight and walking one.

CJ Pugh took the loss for Abingdon/Avon Varsity Tornadoes. The righthander surrendered seven runs on four hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Johnson started the game for Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity. The righty went three innings, allowing five runs on two hits and striking out eight Dawson Fenton started the game for Abingdon/Avon Varsity Tornadoes. The righty surrendered five runs on two hits over two and a third innings, striking out six

Monmouth-Roseville Titans Varsity tallied two home runs on the day. Almaguer had a homer in the third inning. Johnson had a four bagger in the third inning.

J Hall went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Abingdon/Avon Varsity Tornadoes in hits.
