E. Elaine Lowry, daughter of Robert J. and Elva E. (Morgan) Dunn, was born January 4, 1941 in Fulton County, Illinois. She attended elementary and secondary schools in Lewistown and later received her Bachelor of Science of Education degree from Western Illinois University with teaching degrees in Latin, French and English.

E. Elaine (Dunn) and Robert M. Lowry were married June 30, 1962, at the Church of the Nazarene in Lewistown, Illinois. He survives.

They moved to the Roseville area in 1963 where she enjoyed being a part of the community. Elaine taught at Yorkwood, Abingdon and Roseville, teaching a total of 34 years. She loved the outdoors, reading, sewing, music, and helping people. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Roseville where she and her husband were active for many years. She loved the Lord and her church and served in many different capacities.

After retiring from teaching, Elaine and husband Bob operated Warren County Whitetails, INC., an outfitting service, from their home for 27 years.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter Roberta (Steve) Runyon, granddaughter Shauna (Jeff) Peters and their son, Jack and daughter Carter, granddaughter Jamie (David) Rempe and their sons Connor and Owen and daughter Savannah, grandson Andrew Runyon; and daughter Sarah (Lowry) Ramsey, granddaughter Rachael (David) Arndt, and grandson Michael Lowry.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Church of the Nazarene, Roseville. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bond Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Nazarene in Roseville and left in the care of the funeral home. Wise Family Funeral Home, Roseville, is handling the arrangements.
